Arguably the most important topic for lakeside owners, and the local population in general. Without quality water real estate values drop, tourism departs, the local economy gets into serious difficulties. We support continued ongoing water quality testing with an emphasis on accurately determining and eliminating the sources of any pollution. The science must be complete and irrefutable, not simply guesses.
- UPDATE: Testing confirms algae growth not toxic (4/9/2020) - Update: Thursday, April 9, 7:45 PM Laboratory tests on samples of algae taken from a bloom on Shuswap Lake show that the substance in the water is not toxic to people or pets.
